The UK's largest Association of Independent Stores (AIS) Buying Group held its annual awards dinner in Coventry on the evening of 1st September 2011.
Sofa Brands International's brands achieved a first since the formation of the group, when G Plan, Duresta, Parker Knoll and Derwent were all awarded the AIS Gold Standard Award. The Gold Standard certification represents the accolade for service and quality, and is awarded by the AIS store members in voting on a range of performance measures.
Scott Malvenan, CEO of SBI commented: "I am delighted that we have achieved this recognition, but we will strive to improve further. The breadth of product offered to AIS members by our brands, in terms of design and complexity is significant. Quite rightly, the AIS management team and its members are raising the bar each year and we must respond to this challenge.
