Les Higgins, Chairman & Non Executive Director

Les has chaired the SBI Board and a number of its sub committees since July 2009. He brings over 20 years of business experience holding Chief Executive and Managing Director positions across a broad range of businesses, including subsidiaries owned by GrandMet (Diageo), Granada Group Plc (ITV Plc) and News Corporation. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Cordier Spezialpapier GmbH a German speciality manufacturer and an Operating Partner for Strategic Value Partners' Global Opportunities Fund.

Scott Malvenan, Group Chief Executive

Scott entered the furniture industry in 2003 as Chief Executive of Christie - Tyler plc and has led the SBI group since its formation in 2005. He brings a wealth of business experience gained in the textiles industry at Courtaulds Textiles plc and Sara Lee Corporation. Scott served as a Main Board Director at Courtaulds Textiles, responsible for the Group's highly successful branded and own label clothing businesses which supplied major UK and international retail chains and independents.

Bernard Stitfall, Group Finance Director

Bernard was appointed Group Finance Director of SBI in July 2005. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and joined Christie - Tyler plc in 1979. There he held various financial roles before being appointed Group Finance Director in 1992. Bernard is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Vince McGinlay, Non Executive Director

Vince joined SBI in 2006 and was the sole Non Executive Director until 2009. Vince is also Non Executive Chairman of DCK, the UK's leading fashion jewellery concessions business. His executive career has spanned 30 years with Marks & Spencer plc where he was Director of Menswear and Supply Chain Director, and also served as Managing Director of US based Brooks Brothers.

Bernard Stitfall, Group Finance Director

Bernard was appointed Group Finance Director of SBI in July 2005. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and joined Christie - Tyler plc in 1979. There he held various financial roles before being appointed Group Finance Director in 1992. Bernard is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Ian Oliver, Chief Executive, G Plan

Ian was appointed Chief Executive Officer of G Plan in 2005 having previously held a Divisional Director role within Christie - Tyler plc. He is also responsible for the G Plan brand and the Group's operations in Melksham and Lithuania. Before joining Christie - Tyler, Ian spent 16 years working for Marks & Spencer plc as Commercial Executive in the menswear, homeware and marketing departments. He gained valuable brand development experience setting up the successful Marks & Spencer 'Per Una' brand.

Richard Sowter, Chief Executive, Derwent and Parker Knoll

Richard joined the executive management team of the Group in July 2005. Richard is responsible for the Group's Derwent and Parker Knoll brands, and own label business, all operating from SBI's facility in Riddings, Derbyshire. His 35 year career in upholstery began in 1976 when he joined the Christie - Tyler Group from Courtaulds plc. He became Finance Director of Derwent Upholstery in 1983 and was appointed Chief Executive of Derwent Upholstery in 2002.

Clive Kenyon-Brown, Chief Executive, Duresta

Clive joined the SBI executive management team in July 2005 with over 25 years experience in furniture and upholstery. His career began at United Drapery Stores in 1978 where he gained extensive retail management and furniture buying experience at Allders Department Stores. Clive was Sales Director at Ashdell Upholstery, from 1983 and at Kesterport Furniture Collections from 1988. He then moved to Duresta where as Sales and Marketing Director he led the successful development of the brand in UK and abroad. Clive was appointed Chief Executive of Duresta in 2004.

Edgaras Kateiva, Managing Director, UAB Sofa Brands

Edgaras was appointed Managing Director of UAB Sofa Brands in 2006, where he previously served as Finance Director. Edgaras has played a leading role in the planning, construction and successful running of the Group's Lithuanian operations since 2005. He obtained an MBA from Vilnius International School of Business in Lithuania in 2001.
